Has anyone here read the Princess Diaries books? I have read all of them except the sixth book. Meg Cabot's books are so awesome! They have some inapropriate content though so if you don't know what sex is you shouldn't read the fifth book.

Reviews for book IV
Just not as exciting as the others, May 15, 2005 A Kid's Review In Princess in Training, a lot of the book is kind of corny. Michael just doesn't seem as attached to Mia as he used to be, which upsets me. Throughout the whole book, Mia is freaking out because of what Lana tells her. When Mia asks Michael about the whole sex thing, he says he would like to have it sometime. Fine by me, but I was a bit upset that he said he wasn't going to wait forever, because Mia wasn't ready. That just didn't sound like Michael. He is supposed to be caring and understanding. The rest of the book was really good, which is why it got four stars, not three. I laughed so hard when Mia and her friends tried to figure out if Perin, a person in their French class, was a girl or boy. Michael's roommate was so funny, and he didn't mean to be. I thought the whole election thing was cool too, it was neat that Mia ran against Lana for president. It is also funny that over the summer Boris turns into a hottie. I got a laugh out of that, too. I wish there would have been more on the Boris and Lily saga continued from volume five, but oh well. Overall, I loved this book, but Mia needs to stop obsessing over Michael a little. She needs to take some time and enjoy herself.
Series is back on track, May 9, 2005 Reviewer: tigerkat "professional geek" I think that this book has brought the series back on track. In the last Princess Diary book things were getting a bit, too crazy. There was too much socio-political goings on and Lilly was becoming unlikable.
This book brings things back on track. Yes, Mia is still freaking out over minor things that she should know better than to freak out about while mostly ignoring the important freak-out worthy things going on. That is part of Mia's charm though and helps keep the story flowing and the energy high.
The school election aspect of the story finally allows Mia to really start to shine on her own and starts to display the amazing strength that she will need to be the ruler of Genovia.

Mia begins her sophomore year dreading high school life without Michael. After she helps him move into his dorm at Columbia, she finds herself busier than ever between Princess lessons, trying to understand geometry, taking care of baby brother Rocky, and now --- thanks to Lilly --- running for Student Council President. And that just covers the first day of school.
Soon, other worries enter her sphere. She wonders if Michael will expect her to be intimate with him now that he is in college. She is now running against Miss Popularity herself, Lana, for President. Her efforts to save some of Genovia's waters have resulted in strained international relations. Lilly is her campaign manager and teams up with Mia's Grandmere. And her new English teacher wants her to write about something more serious than popular culture.
The "Princess Diaries" series is as funny as ever, and Mia proves once again that running a country will be easy for her after surviving high school. While there is a lot of fantasy here, Mia remains in many ways a normal teenager with boy, family, school, and confidence issues. Readers will enjoy watching her start to grow up and deal with these matters.
Meg Cabot keeps enough surprises coming to retain freshness for the many devoted fans of this series. Obviously, through Mia's reactions to the critical English teacher, Cabot is trying to fight back at some reviewers who may think she writes fluff, but she is preaching to the choir here with points about the value of entertaining reads.

Seems a little unrealistic. Would a country really get kicked out of the EU by dumping snails in the ocean.
Should the US lose our permanent spot in the UN becuase of oil spills in Alaska? It was after all, an accident. Should we be kicked out?
I mean, c'mon, look at real world instances. For example, Russia has deifnatly had their share of enviormental diasters and yet they have a permanent seat in the UN.
And yes, the fact that 24% of Belarussia is nuclearly contaminated is more serious than a couple hundred snails in the Mediteranian.
Sorry, didn't mean to diss you book, justed seemed a little unrealistic.
The EU is pretty much open to all European countries. Except Turkey.
Speaking of the EU, I can now download an EU screensaver for my PC.
...why would I do that?

The first one is inappropriate. I read it when I was 12 and I thought some parts of it were really disgusting, like her dad has cancer in his Testacles. UGH!!! They are all pretty inappropriate actually which is why they are Teen Books. I think teh recommended age is like 13 and up.
